I was able to attend my very first science conference today and let me just say, It was not what I was expecting at all. There were very few people and the questions being asked were not as intimidating or difficult as I was expecting. I did get to present my poster and I feel like I did well. I was very nervous about this conference but I know It was likely first time jitters and I will become more confident over time. I think everyone did such a wonderful job today! There were so many interesting posters and a large array of topics; I look forward to attending more conferences with the TRIAN program.

Week 12: ASU West Conference
I was able to attend my very first science conference today and let me just say, It was not what I was expecting at all. There were very few people and the questions being asked were not as intimidating or difficult as I was expecting. I did get to present my poster and I feel like I did well. I was very nervous about this conference but I know It was likely first time jitters and I will become more confident over time. I think everyone did such a wonderful job today! There were so many interesting posters and a large array of topics; I look forward to attending more conferences with the TRIAN program.

Maricruz, you dressed so professional at this conference and you rocked it. I’m sure you did great during your presentation, as you will while continuing this path! I do have to say though, from past experience at Metro Tech High School, there are way more people and questions! Be prepared and I can’t wait to see you there :)
ReplyDeleteHey Maricruz! The ASU West conference was also my first science conference! I also had a different expectation on how things were gonna be and go. It surprises me to say that I am disappointed in how few people there were but the Metro Tech conference made up for that. There also weren't many people there but I did get a lot of questions.
