Hello everyone, my name is Maricruz Chavez. I am a Freshman here at Phoenix College and this is my second semester in the S-STEM program. I am very excited to begin my internship this semester! I am relatively new to conducting research but I am excited and eager to learn. This semester I will be working on a micro plastics research project which will be funded by WAESO.I plan to transfer to ASU West and obtain a Bachelor's degree in biology and later specialize in neurobiology. I am interested in Neuroscience related research, such as the Human Connectome project. I also have an interest in eugenics and genetic engineering. I love animals and plants, I have two dogs ( Charlie & Jimmy) and a red-eared slider turtle named Shane.
